Lahore—Provincial Minister for Education, Mian
Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that position
holders students of all the four provinces are
common asset of the country. He said this while
addressing a reception hosted by him in honour
of position holder students of Balochistan,
here.
Lt. General ® Mujib-ur-Rehman Khan became a
victim of pneumonia on Thursday, November 19,
and went up in the heaven, I am sure, quite
gladly so that he may perhaps be in the company
of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for whose
projection in the right perspective, he was
striving hard for the last few years. The
three-star General had turned himself into a
soldier of the founder of Pakistan to whom he
would confidently describe, with his wet eyes as
an Ashiq-i-Rasool.
Lahore—Senior Provincial Minister, Raja Riaz
Ahmed Friday directed authorities to complete
water projects as soon as possible so that new
water reservoirs could be explored in the
province. He said this while presiding over a
meeting of Annual Development Programme of
Irrigation Department at Committee Room of the
deptt here, which was attended by Secretary
Major (Retd) Azam Suleman, Head of PIDA and
Chief Engineers from all over the province and
other officials.
Lahore—Provincial
Minister for Population Welfare Neelam Jabbar
Chaudhry Friday said legislation would be made
for punishment for violation of children rights,
so that practices like ‘wani’ could be checked.
“It is important to stop the exploitations of
children and the government will strictly
implement existing laws and required legislation
would also be made,” she said.
Lahore—Capital City Police Officer (CCPO),
Muhammad Pervez Rathore has said that the whole
record of Lahore Police is being rapidly
computerized. Talking to media persons here
Friday, he said, computerization of the record
would enable every citizen of Lahore to inspect
his FIR, by inserting the name of the police
station.
