Peshawar—The NWFP Governor, Mr. Owais Ahmed
Ghani has said, the motherland is faced with a
big challenges militancy & terror presently like
past which is being successfully overcome and
Inshaullah we will control it in next few
months. He was talking to a group of students
from University of Peshawar at Governor’s House,
Peshawar on Wednesday who had come here to
donate blood for the injured of the recent
terrorist incidents in the provincial
metropolitan. 100 students, hailing from Khyber
Law College, Economic, and Social Welfare and
Sociology departments of the University donated
blood on this occasion.

Hoti has endorsed the establishment of an
institute proficient of rescue activities under
one roof and directed for speedy arrangements in
this regard in order it starts functioning as
soon as possible. The concerned institute will
work under responsible and authoritative
officer. He was chairing a high level meeting
here at his office on other day. Participants of
the meeting included; Senior Provincial Minister
Bashir Ahmad Bilour, Provincial Ministers
Humayun Khan, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Chief
Secretary Javed Iqbal, ACS Home, Secretary
Health, DCO, DGPDA, DGPARSA and other high
officials. Various suggestions remained under
considerations during the meeting and important
decisions have been taken.
Sialkot—Due to the
prevailing dry weather conditions across the
country, people are facing problem of dust
allergy especially in areas where construction
work is going on. In Sialkot many mega
contraction projects are in process like nekapur
bridge and dolization of sialkot Daska road
moreover many local projects like contractions
of plazas, shopping mall, residential colonies
and a flood of undisclosed traffic that made
unnecessary noise and pollution over the
environment.
Jehlum—District Coordination Officer (DCO)
Hamid Ullah Khan taking strict notice of delay
in completion and estimate of different
developing schemes in Jehlum has warned that an
inquiry would be conducted against the violators
and strict actions would be taken against them.
Adressing to the meeting held here to take
review of ongoing developing schemes in the
district with the cost of Rs 623.854 million DCO
Hamid Ullah said that no negligence would be
tolerated in delay of these schemes.
Peshawar—The Director General Health Services
NWFP, Dr. Fazal Muhammad has ruled out
circulation of A/H1N1 virus 2009 (swine flu) in
the province and disclosed that all preparations
were made to combat any possible outbreak of the
disease while plenty of standard medicine
provided by WHO were available for the treatment
of such patients.
