Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain
has lauded the role of security forces in FATA,
and appreciated their success and sacrifices in
South Waziristan. Talking to newsmen here at a
press conference, Information Minister said the
focus of military operation should remain on
Waziristan, but they should also conduct
targeted strikes at the hideouts of militants in
other parts of the FATA.
Hazru—Eight persons
died and six were injured in separate incidents
in Hazru here on Tuesday. In the first incident
4 people died due to roof collapse during a
marriage ceremony held at Muhammad Hanif s/o
Muhammad Nawaz resident of Dhok Hijam Dakhli
Mangwani which resulted into death of Niaz
Ahmad, Shahzad Ahmad, Muhammad Hanif and Raifa
Bibi and injured Tariq, Imran, Syed Bibi, Noreen
Bibi, Sania Bibi, Zojan Baghum. The injured have
been referred from local hospital of Hazru to
Rawalpindi where condition of some injured is
stated to be precarious.

Minister for Special Education and Bonded Labour
Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi has said that 13 new
schools of Special Education, one each in 13
districts have been established in the province
under the directives of President Asif Ali
Zardari. He said that in order to ensure
efficient deliveries, monitoring committees have
also been established with assignments to check,
monitor and report the higher authority on
priority basis.
Peshawar—Opposing the ongoing Military operation
in Tehsil Bara, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber
agency demanded of the government to announce
immediately a compensation package for Gul
Karim’s family, who was serving as a teacher in
the Bara. Speaking at a news conference here on
Tuesday, at press club, JI Bara Ameer Muhammad
Rafiq said that due to ongoing military action
in Bara, hundreds of innocent people had been
were killed including women, children and
elderly.

Dir—Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Malakand
Muhammad Idrees Khan has decided to recruit more
than 2500 special police personals in all
districts of Malakand division. The announcement
was made during an inauguration ceremony of
police station in Ooch and talking to members of
peace committees in Taimer Gara here on Tuesday.
