Islamabad—President Asif Ali Zardari has
directed the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP)
to devise a comprehensive assistance package for
the victims of terrorism. He said this while
chairing a meeting in which presentations on
Benazir Income Support Program and NADRA were
given to him in the Presidency on Friday.

German posters and photos to mark 20th
anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall.
German Embassy in Islamabad in collaboration
with Lok Virsa organized the display at the hall
of changing exhibitions, Heritage Museum
(Pakistan National Museum of Ethnology).
Islamabad—The order by the Islamabad Capital
Territory Administration to close H-9 weekly
bazaar before sunset created panic among the
shoppers who, after an announcement, fled out to
avoid any untoward incident. When the concerned
official of the ICT administration asked the
people to leave the bazaar, picking up their
luggage, the rumors spread around like fire as
the people assumed that there might be some
terrorist threat.
Islamabad—Taxi drivers were charging
increased fares from passengers in the plea of
reduced supply of compressed natural gas (CNG)
by filling stations in the capital. Passengers
were compelled to pay Rs. 10 to Rs. 20 increased
fare for nearby destinations while the margin
for comparatively far places from the pick
points was higher as Rs. 30 to Rs. 40, it was
observed.

arrangements made by Pakistan to facilitate
intending Haj pilgrims. Addressing a group
of intending Hujjaj here at the Haji Camp on
Friday Head of Counsellors at the Saudi Embassy
Muhammad Abdul Rehman Al-Bedewy said the Saudi
government admires the facilities and guidance
being provided by Pakistan to the intending
pilgrims,” also advised the Hujjaj for taking
all precautionary measures to avoid viral
diseases during Hajj specially swine flu.
