Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz
Sharif has said that government will not
tolerate delay by the contractors and
inefficient administration in the development
projects in the Punjab, He said that the
officers and contractors will have to face
consequences for delaying the constructional
projects causing problems for the people.

Lahore—A five-member US delegation led by
Deputy Cahirman Defence Paul A. Brikley called
on the Punjab Governor Salman Taseer and
discussed issues of mutual interest especially
Kerry Lugar Bill at the Governor House on
Wednesday. The Governor urged the delegation
that the financial assistance provided by the US
under the Kerry Lugar Bill should be spent on
the health, education sectors and elimination of
poverty in the country.
Lahore—Punjab University Philosophy
department arranged a special lecture on
Thursday titled “Sir Syed, Akbar Allah Abadi and
Allama Iqbal” as part of Annual Iqbal Memorial
Lecutres. Prof Dr Khawja Muhammad Zakria was the
key note speaker while Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr
Mujahid Kamran presided over the ceremony. It
was attended by a large number of students.
Lahore—MBBS degree of eight
so-called doctors including three females
employed in PRSP and posted at different Basic
Health Units and Rural Health Centres in the
district were declared bogus by the Pakistan
Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Islamabad.
According to official sources here on Thursday,
inquiry against the doctors was already pending
and their degrees were sent to the PMDC
Islamabad for verification which declared the
same as fictitious.
