Private schools reopen today
Rs 5m approved for security gadgets in educational institutes

Islamabad—All the Private schools in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad would be reopened today (Tuesday).  The Private schools in Capital, which were closed after the security threats, will re-open from Tuesday. Parents and students have been informed about the decision. In the wake of security threats, the private schools had announced extension in vacations for almost 10 days that were scheduled to be open on November 1 and now have made all necessary security arrangements to cope with the threat of terrorist attacks.

Humak towners face transport shortage

Islamabad—The residents of Model Town Humak and its adjoining localities are facing acute shortage of public transport service on Sihala-Raja Bazar route as they have no option to travel other than the Suzuki van. Thousands of people daily travel on this route which starts from Raja Bazar, Rawalpindi and culminate at Sihala Bazar - a rural area of the federal capital.

Waseela-e-Haq amount to be recovered after 15 years

Islamabad—United Nations Representative Husain Haroon said while addressing a gathering of journalists that Waseela-e-Haq was the self-employment component of the programme and in no way a charity initiative, rather the amount given to each family far self-employment had to be returned aver a period of 15 years.

Vet building to be converted into kidney hospital

Rawalpindi—The Punjab government has decided to construct the kidney hospital by demolishing the historic building of the Divisional Headquarters of the Veterinary at Dhoke Khaba. This decision has perturbed the staff of the hospital as well as those who used to get treated their pet animals from the facility. The sources said that the inauguration of the kidney hospital is likely next week.

Violation of Wildlife Act

Rawalpindi—The sale of birds and animals is thriving along Alam Khan Road in Rawalpindi in violation of the Wildlife Act of Pakistan 1974.  Shopkeepers are only authorised to sell aquarium fish, rabbits and some kinds of pigeons.  People living in the neighbourhood said that around 5 years back only three shopkeepers were dealing in aquarium fish, birds and animals, but now more than 25 shopkeepers were doing brisk business along the road.
