Islamabad—Due to high price of cotton and yarn
in the local market, exporters may fail in
fulfilling the European and American apparel
export orders worth one billion dollars for
Christmas. Chairman of the Pakistan Cotton
Fashion Apparel Manufacturers and Exporters
Association, Dr Shahzad Arshad said if measures
were not taken to check the export of cotton and
yarn there would be a further decline in the
Pakistani apparel exports.
Islamabad—The current detonating security
situation of the country, and no clear policy by
the Ministry of Tourism made Pakistan to drop
its world tourism ranking from 111 last year to
113 in 2009. According to a report of the World
Economic Forum Pakistan ranked 113 out of 130
countries in 2009 as the country’s fail travel
and tourism regulatory framework and no good
policy by the government, affects tourism
industry in Pakistan.

belonging to Pakistan National Shipping
Corporation (PNSC) were detained at different
ports of the world for allegedly non-payment of
financial claims of past three years.
