Jammu martyrs anniversary
Mission to be completed: Attique

Staff Reporter

Islamabad—Former prime minister and president All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (AJKMC)Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has reiterated that the grand mission of the martyrs of Jammu on November 6, 1947 would be completed at all costs by his party. In his special Jammu Martyrs Day message Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan said that the ties of history, culture, religion and civilization of Jammu and Kashmir State with Pakistan are unassaiable and unbreakable. That was the true message of martyrs of Jammu.

It was during the first week of November 1947 that the combined forces of Dogras and Indian army gunned down over 2,50,000 Muslims of Jammu unloading them from vehicular convoys bound to cross over to Sialkot in Pakistan. Since then the November 6th day is observed as Jammu Martyrs Day in AJK, IHK, by Kashmiris in Pakistan and abroad.

Sardar Attique in his message said that the democratic induction of Muslim Conference government in Azad Kashmir has given top priority to fulfillment of missions of the Jammu and Kashmir martyrs whose number has now crossed 5,00,000 including in the ongoing struggle in occupied Kashmir.

He exhorted his workers to expand the message of Jammu martyrs far and wide and inculcate the true spirit in the youth.

He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris in the way of liberation are supreme in our minds and thoughts. We want a settlement of Kashmir dispute which carries the aspirations of the Kashmiris. Kashmiris peaceful fight for self-determination would continue, he asserted.
