Peshawar—The NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haider
Khan Hoti has impressed upon all the political
forces to play effective role in eliminating
terrorism as the role they played in settling
the issue of net hydel profit. He eulogized the
role of all the political parties in the
attainment of net hydel profit and said that all
the political parties would be taken together in
moving forward other provincial issues.
Peshawar—A bride was taken to her in-laws home
on Thursday as the family wailed the missing of
her father in Wednesday’s bombing at Mina Bazaar
on October 28 in Peshawar. Thousands of people
prayed for the bride’s father, who is believed
to have been killed in the bomb blast and his
body blown to pieces. Abd-us-Salam, a resident
of Peshawar, who had a vegetables stall in a
corner of the bazaar where the incident
occurred, which left near to 115 people dead,
including children and women, and 260 wounded.
Peshawar—Students of different medical
colleges of the Province have complained about
vague pattern of anatomy paper in the ongoing
MBBS First Professional Examination being
conducted by Khyber Medical University Peshawar.
They observed that the Anatomy Part-1 paper was
prepared in such a way that even the learned
university medical professors were unable to
select suitable answers to the choices in the
MCQs.
Mirpur—Jammu &
Kashmir people living either side of the Line of
Control and rest of the world will observe 62nd
Jammu Martyrs day on Nov 6 (Friday) to pay
glorious tributes, besides to commemorate the
supreme sacrifices of the lives given by
millions of the Muslim inmates of Jammu this day
in 1947 while they were moving for migrating to
their newly-born beloved homeland, Pakistan.
Like all previous years the martyrs day will be
commemorated with the renewal of the pledge to
continue mission of Kashmiri martyrs to bring
the Kashmir freedom struggle to its logical end.
Attock—The celebrations of 541st birth day of
Gurunanak Dev Jee (The first guru of Sikhs) have
been concluded here on Thursday with the ritual
Bhog at Gurdwara Siri Punja Sahib hassanabdal.
About two thousand sikh yatrees including 16
hundred Indian yatrees participated in
celebrations.
