Islamabad—Most of the
Private Educational Institutes in the federal
capital have been reopened on Monday after a gap
of two weeks. While the educational institutes
in Rawalpindi were closed again after a bomb
blast in Sadr area of Rawalpindi. The schools of
the twin cities were closed down after attack at
General headquarters in Rawalpindi and
International Islamic University Islamabad.
However after a gap of one week the government
and army schools reopened but due to security
concerns most of the private schools chose to
remain closed.
Islamabad—Necessary measures to
be taken to upgrade the Capital Development
Authority (CDA) hospital in line with the modern
technology. Official sources told APP that CDA
would ensure availability of medical treatment
and medicines to the residents of the Federal
Capital. He said that the authority is already
working on the plan for up-gradation of the
Capital Hospital. Emergency services will be
improved and professionally skilled experts
would be inducted in the medical team of the
Capital Hospital, he added.

government to fulfill its constitutional
responsibility for providing educational
opportunities to every Pakistani so that they
can compete in the open market of the World.

Letters (PAL) is compiling book “Shaheed Benazir
Bhutto: Danishwar Aur Adeeb” (Shaheed Benazir
Bhutto: Intellectual and Writer) to highlight
literary and intellectual aspects of BB’s
personality. Chairman PAL, Fakhar Zaman in a
briefing informed that the book is written by
Khalid Kashmiri and it focuses on Mohtarma
Benazir Bhutto’s literary personality and
highlights her intellectual worth. Mohtarma
Benazir Bhutto’s writings and lectures have been
praised by scholars and critics all over the
world. In Pakistan’s literary history, there are
many personalities related to the national
politics that got prominence as politician but
their literary personality remained unnoticed,
Fakhar Zaman said.
Islamabad—An open House discussion on “Price
Hike, Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding
Act 1977” was arranged by the Citizen’s Law
Forum in collaboration with Frederick Douglass
College which was presided over by Advocate M.
Kowkab Iqbal. The speakers included Professor
Khalid Rehman, Mrs. Surraya Naseem, Miss. Lubna
Farogh, Madam Naila, Mrs. Furukh Sultan, Yawar
Saeed Cheema, Saeed Ur Rahi and Dr. Faisal who
stressed the need to take immediate measures for
controlling the galloping prices of items of
daily use.
