Islamabad—The Foreign Minister of Pakistan,
Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi is expected to
focus on forging concrete ties with Malaysia in
Halal Food Sector (HFS) during his stay in Kuala
Lumpur, from 1st to 4th November, 2009 to attend
12th session of D-8 Council of Ministers.

Karachi—Lucky Cement Ltd., Pakistan’s biggest
producer of the building material, said first
quarter profit rose 14.5 percent, aided by
higher sales and lower costs. Net income rose to
1.1 billion rupees ($13.2 million), or 3.41
rupees a share, in the three months ended Sept.
30 from 962.9 million rupees, or 2.98 rupees, a
year earlier, the Karachi-based cement maker
said today in a statement to the stock exchange.
Sales rose 2.6 percent to 7.04 billion rupees.

and C.V OOCL Kobe carrying Containers took
berths at Qasim international Container terminal
on Thursday. Meanwhile two more Container ships
Maersk Novazzano and Hanjina Port Land also
arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during
last 24 hours.
