Islamabad—President Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz had wide-ranging talks at the Presidency here on Monday along with their aides.  According to sources, during the meeting which continued for 90 minutes followed by dinner hosted by President Zardari.in honour of Mian Nawaz Sharif and members of his delegation.

Peshawar—Pitched battle between the Army supervised security forces and the insurgents in South Waziristan and Aurakzai Agencies and Hangu District on Monday left another 39 militants dead and many injured. However the security forces also suffered heavy losses and as many as seven security men embraced Shahadat while twenty others sustained wounds during skirmishes with the insurgents.

HILLARY has put it very aptly. She was candid and frank when she remarked that United States government had failed to neutralize the criticism in Pakistan against the Kerry-Lugar Bill, which after signing by the President, has become an Act. The reaction in Pakistan against its contents was no doubt vociferous, but to call it propaganda, was a bit too much. Criticism in the country of the aid legislation reflected the genuine sentiments of a vast majority of the population. Its language was not only harsh, some of its clauses were really objectionable. Pakistanis, naturally considered it hostile to their national pride.
