Islamabad—Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed
Kaleem Imam has said that already existing
security rings or zones in Islamabad are being
enhanced so as to further ensure elaborate
arrangements against terrorist elements. Talking
to journalists here Wednesday at Police Line
Headquarters after the passing out parade of
Anti-terrorist squad , the IGP said “ parameter
of security rings is being enhanced for
effective security arrangements in the Capital”.

Mr. Rodolfo J. Martin-Saravia says art and
culture serve as bridge between nations and
called for large-scale cultural exchanges
between Pakistan and his country. He was

Rawalpindi—A launching ceremony of Urdu book
“Intizar Ka Akhri Pahr” consisted of short
stories by the author of young generation,
journalist and broadcaster Munir Ahmed was held
at Rawalpindi Arts Council on Wednesday evening.
Famous Urdu poet, writer and Chairman National
Language Authority Iftikhar Arif was the chief
guest while renowned short story writer Ahmed
Javed presided over the ceremony. Regional
Director Rawalpindi Arts Council Naheed Manzoor
along with critics and literature fans in large
number were also present on the occasion.
Islamabad—Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Wednesday,
offered full moral support to the government on
internal and international issues in case
government says good bye to the US alliance
against campaign on terror. JIP further demanded
of the government to follow democratic norms and
ways to resolve issues rather than through use
of force.
Islamabad—Due to prevailing
security situation in the country, the
management of the Federal Board of Intermediate
and secondary Education, Islamabad besides Board
of Intermediate and Secondary Education all over
Punjab has decided to postpone practical
Examination of HSSC Supplementary Examination,
2009, and supplementary examination respectively
scheduled to commence from Thursday (today)
within the country, till further orders.
