Foreign Minister’s son Mr. Zain H. Qureshi’s assignment is clearly linked with John Kerry’s legislature work. Against this backdrop, foreign minister’s vociferous defence of John Kerry-Lugar Bill tends to lose all lustre.

Bugti killed in military operation: Musharraf

New York—Former President Pervez Musharraf has said that people should reject any such bill which undermines the national sovereignty. Addressing the Pakistani community in New York, the former President referred to the Kerry-Lugar Bill and maintained that army had a right to speak when there was something against the national independence.

KSE plunges 426 points

Karach—Massive selling pressure was witnessed at the local equity market on the first trading session of the week as the index plunged by more than 400 points below the psychologically significant 9,500 level. The KSE-100 Index closed at 9,411; a massive decline of 426 points, with a total volume of 214 million shares being traded in the market.
