Police to monitor madrassa activities

Lahore—Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Pervez Rathore Saturday directed the police to ensure that registered seminaries and madrassas were not involved or used in any terrorist activity. It should be ensured that seminaries only continue their lawful academic and religious activities,” he said while talking to a delegation of ulema which called on him at Capital City Police Headquarters here.

Rashid rules out mid-term polls

Lahore—Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said there is no chance of mid-term polls as democracy is only option for addressing issues the country is facing on internal and external fronts.
