Rawalpindi—The fresh wave of terror attacks
in the country and decision to close educational
institutes of armed forces for one week has
created panic and fear among all segments of
society in the city, including schoolchildren in
twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Rawalpindi—Medical Superintendent DHQ Hospital,
DMS, Director Finance and other three quacks,
arrested in the recruitment of fake doctors’
case by Anti Corruption Department were
presented before the court Magistrate Malik
Azmatullah Awan and were sent on three days
physical remand.
Rawalpindi—The Department of Defense and
Diplomatic Studies (DDS) at Fatima Jinnah Women
University (FJWU) organized a seminar titled
‘Pak-China Relations: Celebrating 60 Years of
Sino-Pak Friendship’. Mr. Yao Jing, Chinese
Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of Peoples Republic
of China delivered the keynote address while
Professor Zohu Rong, Chief of Guang Ming Daily
Islamabad Bureau, Ms. Samrana Afzal, Lecturer
Department of DDS at FJWU and Mr. Rizwan Sharif,
Lecturer Department of DDS at FJWU were among
the speakers of the seminar.
Islamabad—Islamabad Police and officials of
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration
on Sunday night conducted the search of few
religious seminaries in Islamabad. During the
checking, they arrested six suspects out of
which three were arrested for keeping illegal
weapons.A delegation comprising scholars of
Wafaq-ul-Madaris on Monday met with Deputy
Inspector General of Police (Operations)
Islamabad Bin Yameen. It was agreed that no
foreigner would be given admission in any
seminary or appointed as Imam Masjid or Moazin.
Islamabad—Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA) under its Training Programme for Young
Leaders organized a send-off ceremony here
Monday to send 27 participants to Japan for an
18-day training. This Training Programme for
Young Leaders of Pakistan is initiated by the
Government of Japan under Technical Cooperation
scheme for Pakistan.
