Owais: Terrorism to be fully overcome in next few days

Peshawar—The NWFP Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani has said that the government is at the advance stage in rolling back the problem of insurgency like situation, as far as NWFP and FATA are concerned and Inshaullah the government will fully overcome it in next few months.

APHC urges world to stop India from human abuses

Muzaffarabad—All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK’s Shura met here Sunday to deliberate upon the prevailing situation of Jammu and Kashmir with regard to the proposed dialogue and human rights abuses by the Indian forces. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani convener APHC AJK chaired the meeting. At the end of the meeting a resolution was passed to urge on the world community to prevail upon India to stop all human rights abuses in the occupied region, repeal draconian laws, release political detenus and callback Indian troops from the state to create a conducive environment for dialogue on Kashmir.

80 govt schools without buildings in Sialkot

Sialkot—Sialkot district’s as many as 80 government boys and girls primary schools have no buildings and the students were forced to get primary education while sitting in grounds and files under the open sky. Requesting anonymity, some officials of Sialkot education department reported that there are more than 52 government boys and girls primary schools, where, the thousands of the students waiting for their teachers since long.

Opening of 100-bed cancer hospital

Multan—A modern cancer hospital, incurring a cost of 687.988 million rupees would provide all the latest treatment facilities for the benefit of people in this part of the province. According to official sources, the six-storey building of the hospital will have 270 employees, including doctors, paramedics and other staff. Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has given approval of PC-I of the 100-bed hospital with latest equipment estimated to cost Rs 458.23 million.

Projects worth Rs 120m for provision of gas

Fateh Jang—State Minister for Defence Production, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said Sunday that projects of worth Rs.120 million have been initiated for provision of sui gas in the are. He stated this while addressing a gathering of local people on occasion of inauguration a suigas project in Dhok Awan Jhang.
