Karachi—Acknowledging the importance of Rural
Development department in the supply of clean
drinking water in far off places of the
Province, drainage and construction and repair
of roads, Sindh Government declared it an
independent department and a formal notification
also issued in this regard.
Karachi—Glowing tributes were paid to great
educationist and reformer Sir Syed Ahmed Khan
for his vision and services for the Muslims of
South Asia on the occasion of his death
anniversary here. The function was organised by
Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association
and chaired by Z.A. Nizami, its President and
Chancellor Sir Syed University of Engineering
and Technology.
Karachi—Nazim Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, Mohammed
Wasey Jalil has inaugurated the new sewerage
lines laid in UC-11 at a cost of Rs 4.5 million.
The 15 and 12 inch dia lines have been laid in
Railway Society, Commissioner Society and
Bhayani Heights where residents were facing
great inconvenience because of old and broken
leaking lines.
