Terror attacks expose real face of enemies: Ghani

Peshawar—The NWFP Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has strongly condemned the suicide bomb blast near Police Investigation Cell at Peshawar Cantt on Friday and described it a highly cowardly act of terrorism. He has also expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

Rise in terrorism is to stop Waziristan operation: Minster

Peshawar—The military action against the terrorists in South Waziristan Agency would go ahead according to the plan and the fresh wave of terrorism could not deter the government’s resolve of purging the country from the menace of militancy. Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain stated this while participating in a debate on Law and Order Situation in the NWFP arranged by Radio Pakistan Peshawar Centre on Friday. Inspector General of Police NWFP Malik Naveed also threw light in detail on the prevailing public order in the province.

7000 new cases of TB in AJK every year

Mirpur —Medical experts in a National Seminar Friday said that around 7000 new cases of Tuberculoses (TB) are registered every year in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and emphasized that media could play vital role to fight against the disease of (TB) till its complete eradication from the country including AJK. The seminar was jointly arranged by National TB control Program of the Ministry of Health Pakistan, District Health Office Mirpur and the Ad-group, a reputed advertising group of national fame of Pakistan on “ Role of Media to stop TB through raising awareness among the masses” about the drastic affects of the epidemic to human health.
