Karachi—Chairing a high level law and order
meeting here Monday, the Provincial Home
Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza directed the
senior police officers to have a fresh review of
list of all the sensitive places, important
public, private and other buildings and ensure
posting of anti-terrorism trained police
commandos.
Karachi—Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral
Noman Bashir and Javed Lodhi were elected
President and Secretary General respectively of
National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP)
for four year term (2009-2013), it was announced
here on Monday.
Karachi—PMA- Karachi in collaboration with
Association of Pakistani-Decent Cardiologists of
North America (APCNA) will hold its 12th course
on Learn To Save Lives - Learn Basic Life
Support, at PMA House here on Wednesday. The
hands-on training will particularly address
sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a leading cause of
death all over the world.
Karachi—Chairman, Higher Education (HEC) of
Pakistan, Jawaid Leghari has said that the
private universities playing a significant role
in education sector. He was addressing at a
program organised by the Association of Private
Universities and Institutes of Pakistan (APUI),
in his honor here.
Karachi—Sindh Assembly Monday
felicitated Chief of Army Staff General Pervez
Kiyani and the Armed forces for thwarting the
attack on General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and
eliminating the terrorists. In this regard a
resolution moved by MQM’s Syed Sardar Ahmed
along with 5 others was adopted unanimously.
Other signatories to the resolution were Deputy
Speaker Shehla Raza, Jam Madad Ali, Arif Mustafa
Jatoi, Mujaddad Ali Isran and Mohammed Ayaz
Soomro.
