Karachi—Sindh Food Minister Mir Nadir Ali
Magsi, Monday acknowledged in Sindh Assembly
that 380,000 tons of imported wheat had been
delivered to Food department out of 600,000 tons
allocated by TCP till Nov 3, 2008 but no supply
had been received from 400,000 tons of wheat due
from PASSCO. He was replying a question of Arif
Mustafa Jatoi during question hour.
Islamabad—Lack of hallmarking of gold products
has resulted in increasing loss of exports and
less acceptability of products in national as
well as global markets. A seminar titled ‘Latest
Trends in Jewellery Hallmarking’ organized by
Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company
(PGJDC) at Skill Development Council here on
Monday, noted that Pakistan lakes consumer
satisfaction and thus Pakistani jewellery
industry suffers from unfair competition by
those who under-carat gold and therefore sell at
a lower price.

wherein the Turkish Prime Minister along with 43

Vice Admiral M Asad Qureshi appreciated the role
of PQATI to boost industrialisation, adding that
he is always willing to accommodate the

Islamabad—Rotary club members in Pakistan and
Coca-Cola Pakistan are doing their part to fight
polio, by placing billboards to build awareness
of the 12-15 October polio immunization
campaigns throughout Pakistan. Coca-Cola has
donated 22 of its billboards in 11 cities across
the country for a period of four days, so that
Rotary can display placards notifying residents
of the national immunization effort.
