Peshawar—NWFP Minister for Information
Thursday said that the allegations leveled by
some vested elements of extra judicial killing
and human rights violation in Malakand division
are totally baseless. He expressed these views
while addressing a seminar arranged by Disaster
Management Authority in observance of October 8
Earthquake here at Nishter Hall. The seminar was
also addressed by Provincial Minister for
Environment, Wajid Ali Khan.
Sialkot—Tariq Saleem Dogar Inspector General of
Police Punjab said that the police was adopting
scientific methods and technologies to uproot
terrorism from the country, The terrorists were
the killers of the humanity and they would
crushed at every cost. The police was also
taking effective steps to curb the menace of the
registartion of the fals FIRs by the people,
saying that the stoppage of registration of fals
FIRs could also help in bringing police
peformance.

Rahim Yar Khan—A walk was held here to mark
the National Disaster Awareness Day on Thursday
with a focus on the 2005 earthquake that caused
colossal loss of life and property. DCO RYK, Dr.
Ahmad Javed Qazi led the walk, also joined by
workforce of Rescue 1122, Fire Brigade, Police
and officials of district government.
Muzaffarabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza
Gilani who flew in here on 2-day official visit
to AJK inaugurated Rs. 100 million constructed
building of Garhi Dopata Degree College for
Boys, 15 miles from here on Thursday. The
college building is spread across 43 000 square
feet area built at the same site where the old
college was de-stroyed by the devastating
earthquake of October 2005.
