Washington—Amid
serious concerns expressed by the Pakistani Army
against the US non-military aid, the Obama
Administration has said the assistance is ‘not a
threat’ to the Zardari government.
Kabul—A suicide car bomber detonated his vehicle
outside the Indian Embassy in the bustling
centre of the Afghan capital on Thursday,
killing 17 people in the second major attack in
the city in less than a month.
Islamabad—Presidential Spo-kesman Farhat Ullah
Babar has said that Pakistan Army might have
crossed the line by publicly defying President
Asif Ali Zardari, who is supreme commander of
three armed forces of the country. Private TV
channel quoted Presidential Spokesman Farhat
Ullah Babar, as saying there are forums to raise
certain issues.
Muzaffarabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza
Gilani has made quite unambiguous declaration
that there is no change in the historic stand of
Pakistan on Kashmir dispute and that the UN
resolutions on the issue were operative.
Islamabad—The Pakistan Muslim League-Q also
rejected the Kerry-Lugar Bill in the National
Assembly as the members, belonging to treasury
and opposition, debated the bill on the second
day, Thursday. Faisal Saleh Hayat speaking in
the House, said the bill was not in the interest
of Pakistan as it put many conditions on us.
I RECALL Mr Karira’s Sarcastic remark that
persons make comment on the Bill without reading
it; they should read if first. Well, I will add
one comment of mine to it.
