Islamabad—Minister for Information and
Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Wednesday
that youth were the icon of the nation and the
young journalists can play a key role in
nation-building. Speaking as chief guest at a
function organised by newly formed Young
Journalists Forum (YJF) at a National Press Club
here, Kaira hoped that the launch of the Young
Journalists Forum (YJF) would play positive role
in promoting constructive and positive
journalism.

it would continue its efforts for the
rehabilitation of earthquake affected people.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have a very long
history of friendship and the relationship
existing between the two Islamic countries is
gaining more strength day-by-day,” said
Dr.Khalid M. Al-Othmani, the Regional Director
of Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan
Earthquake Victims (SPAPEV).

earthquake is still fresh in the minds of
Rawalakot inhabitants and they still cry with
pain while remembering their dear ones, who lost
their lives in the quake.
Islamabad—The women campus of International
Islamic University, (IIU) here Wednesday
celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Founding
of the People’s Republic of China. Organized by
the Chinese Muslim Students Union of the IIU,
the event was addressed by Chairman
Pakistan-China Institute, Mushahid Hussain Sayed,
Rector IIU, Prof Fateh Mohammed Malik and
Students’ Advisor, Prof Qaiserah Alvi.
Islamabad—An exhibition of oil paintings by a
Karachi based artist Wali Haider Zakir was
opened here Wednesday with a portrayal of
imagery that explains dimensions of oil paint in
architecture. The Jharoka Art Gallery (JAG)
displayed the collection of 27 art pieces based
on the concept of amalgamating architecture with
symbolism and expressions.
