Hoti constitutes body to update hospitals needs

Peshawar—NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has constituted a committee for updating the administrative and economical needs of teaching hospitals of the province under Additional chief Secretary whose members also include, Provincial Secretary Health, Secretary Finance and Chief Executive Members of all the four teaching hospitals of the province. The committee has been directed to submit its recommendations within 45 days after thoroughly analyzing the system of autonomy of the teaching hospitals.

Quake affectees to protest against govt

Muzaffarabad—Thousands of people would protest for their demands about the reconstruction of the areas destroyed in the tragic earthquake of 2005. The anniversary of devastated incident is being commemorated on October 8th (on Thursday). The humanitarian organizations Press For Peace (PFP) and Action Aid have arranged the demonstrations and Walks in Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot cities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir which were badly affected during the earthquake.

Call to equip scouts youth with social needs

Karachi—The District Commissioner, PIA Scouts, Aslam Tariq has said that scout youth be provided with such social and recreational activities which may help them become useful members of the society. He stated this while addressing the annual meeting of District Council at PIA Scouts Provincial Headquarter at PIA Township. On the occasion District Secretary presented a detailed report about scout activities.

No FC NWFP troops in Islamabad: clarification

Peshawar—Frontier Corps (FC) NWFP Tuesday clarified that no Frontier Corps NWFP troops employed in the Islamabad for internal security duties, said a spokesman of FC NWFP. In a statement here he clarified that Frontier Constabulary (FC) troops are performing security duty in some places of Islamabad.

China week celebrations

Muzaffargarh—A week long programme of ceremonies, being held in Muzaffargarh in line with 60th anniversary celebrations of China, will conclude here Wednesday, with an exhibition on various aspects of life in China.  Incharge China Week ceremonies, Prof. Dr. Sajjad Haider Pervaiz said that an exhibition on China and its success will be held on Wednesday at Pakistan hall of Govt post-graduate college.
