Lahore—Disciplinary action has been taken
against 1526 police officers/officials during
the last nine months in line with the direction
of Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif to
purge the department of corrupt and inefficient
elements.
Lahore—On the orders of the Chief Minister
Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Mental Health
Care has been included in the Primary Health
Care Programme and the treatment facilities for
mental diseases are being expanded up to rural
health centre level and a separate Directorate
of Non-Communicable Diseases control has been
established in Punjab Health Department.
Lahore—The
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)
has joined hands with Pakistan Poverty
Alleviation Fund (PPAF) for the provision of
training facilities to PPAF and its partner
organizations’ staff, carrying out their
strategic reviews and undertaking consultancy
assignments on behalf of PPAF.
Lahore—The Ansar
Burney Trust (ABT) is in search of the family
members of 17 Pakistanis who had died in an
accident in Iran on September 11 last. The trust
has released the pictures of the victims, bodies
of whom are lying at Imam Raza Hospital, Sham
Hospital and two other Hospitals in
Tehran,Chairman of the trust Ansar Burney told
APP on Tuesday.
Lahore—A solo exhibition of paintings by
renowned artist and an eminent scholar of
Bangladesh, Dr Shahariar Talukder opened at
Alhamra Art Gallery here Tuesday. Punjab
University VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran inaugurated
the event, while Principal of PU College of Art
and Design, Prof Rahat Naveed Masud was also
present.
