Islamabad— UK visa office, shifted from here to
UAE, is being relocated back in Pakistan,
announced British government on Tuesday, a
private TV channel reported. The Alan Johnson,
UK Home Secretary currently visiting Pakistan,
made this announcement during meeting with his
Pakistani counterpart, Interior Minister Rehman
Malik here on Tuesday.
Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani
said on Tuesday that the government was not
hesitant in bringing any bill of national
importance before the House including
Kerry-Lugar legislation and National
Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). Addressing the
National Assembly’s parliamentary party meeting
of Pakistan People’s Party and its allied
parties, Gilani reaffirmed his government’s firm
resolve towards making parliament a supreme and
sovereign body.

despite being active coalition partner built by
the USA to eliminate Al-Qaeda and other terror
groups, Washington is not believing Islamabad
projections. On Tuesday President Barack Obama
threatened to target al Qaeda wherever it takes
root and to wipe out safe havens from where
Osama bin Laden’s network can plan attacks on

Lahore—Justice Mian Saqib Nisar of the Lahore
High Court on Tuesday after hearing the
arguments by the parties concerned, reserved the
judgement on a Punjab Government’s petition to
delay the by-polls in four constituencies of the
province.
Islamabad—Security agency officials on Tuesday
detained two diplomats working at the Embassy of
the Kingdom of the Netherlands in a sensitive
area of metropolis and recovered arms,
ammunition as well as explosives from their
possession. The diplomats were later released on
the intervention of top diplomatic officials
from embassy of their country and that of US
embassy.

substantial improvements in human development
but vast inequalities still exist between rich
and poor States, the United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP) warned Monday as it unveiled
its annual measure of progress in human
well-being.
