19 killed, 28 injured in different incidents

Toba Tek Singh—Seven persons have lost their lives while 8 others injured in a traffic accident near Rajhana Road while in another incident 8 persons were killed and more than twenty injured near Sheikhupura in a collision between a car and jeep here on Sunday. According to a private TV channel, passenger coach (RPT-5388) going to Pirmahal from Toba Tek Singh fell into deep ravine after colliding with a truck bearing the number plate of P3495. Seven persons were killed and 8 sustained severe injuries in the accident.

Al-Qaeda leaders deny Osama, Omar in Pakistan

Peshawar—The vital leaders of Taliban and Al-Qaeda arrested by security forces from Bajaur agency and other tribal areas have categorically denied Osama Bin Laden, Mullah Omar and Taliban leaders was in Quetta saying the entire Taliban Shura and leadership is in Afghanistan. Sources informed Online, the arrested Taliban and Al-Qaeda leaders during investigation said that world most wanted terrorist Osama Bin laden and Mullah Omar are not in Pakistan.

Finland for good relations with Pakistan

Gujrat—Ambassador of Finland to Pakistan, Osmo Lipponen has said Finland is looking for good trade and cultural relations with Pakistan as a number of Finish companies are operating in India and China and more Finish companies will love to invest in Pakistan if the government showed good interest and if government provide security and resolve the issues including electricity crises.

Policy, action demanded for earthquake areas

Muzaffarabad—The Civil society organizations have called upon governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to announce a comprehensive policy on rehabilitation issues of region affected by massive earthquake of October 2005. Reiterating their pledge to work jointly for the rights of people, Press For Peace (PFP) and Action Aid have decided to launch a special campaign to raise the public concerns about none -completion of rebuilding work.

Spurious drugs at medical stores

Quetta—Quetta city is flooded with most of the medical stores selling expensive spurious drugs playing havoc with lives of the patients. Such medical stores are operating with out license and the spurious drugs are sold allegedly with the connivance of some authorities entrusted with the task to check the sale of substandard drugs, while some medical practitioners are also in league with pharmaceutical companies to achieve their nefarious desire.
