Islamabad—President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime
Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, in their
separate message on the eve of World Teachers’
Day, have urged all stakeholders, civil society
organizations and the people to play their role
in restoring the teaching profession to its
Pristine glory and serve the cause of education
and enlightenment.
Islamabad—The Capital Development Authority
is all set to open the two slip roads of
under-construction Zero Point Interchange within
a fortnight as the contractor has almost
carpeted the whole roads linking Islamabad
Highway and Peshawar Mor. “We are close to open
the two slip roads simultaneously within a week
or two as the work is almost in final stage.
Roads have been carpeted and are being given
final touch,” said the spokesperson of the
Authority Syed Mustafain Kazmi on Sunday.

has moved a step forward to execute the
much-awaited cable car project at Margalla
Hills, previously shelved following the
criticism by environmentalists on the basis that
the project would be hazardous for natural
beauty of the federal capital.
Islamabad—As many as 18,210 cases including
1,142 of the last month are pending at Supreme
Court of Pakistan, National Judicial Policy
Making Committee said on Sunday. According to a
press release, there were 18,202 of criminal and
civil cases in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on
August 31, 2009, which were further increased by
institution of 1,142 new cases in the month of
September. During this period, 1,134 cases were
disposed of, leaving balance of 18,210 cases on
September 30, 2009.
