NAB recovers Rs
95 billion looted wealth

Islamabad—National Accountability Bureau (NAB)
is unprecedented in the history of Pakistan in
being the only institution that succeeded in
recovering huge sum of over Rs 95 billion of
looted national wealth. “NAB is our institution
created out of our (public) money; we should
refine and make best use of our institutions
instead of demolishing them”. |

UN lauds Saudi
aid for IDPs

Islamabad—Saudi Arabia’s US$100 million pledge
to the UN for the specific purpose of meeting
the needs of some 2.7 million internally
displaced persons (IDPs) in northern Pakistan is
the largest single contribution to date for that
cause, according to Martin Mogwanja, UN
Humanitarian Coordinator for Pakistan. |
