Owais hails role
of donors for well-being of public
Staff Reporter
Peshawar—24 member delegation, comprising office
bearers and donors of a Peshawar based volunteer
institution; the Ittefaq Kidney Center called on
the NWFP Governor Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani at
Governor’s House Peshawar on Tuesday. The
delegation led by the head of the organization,
Mr. Abdul Hameed Gurwarra was also accompanied
by the Zonal Chief of Leopard Courier Service
Mr. Wakeel Ahmed Siddique and the Governor
delivered key of an ambulance on behalf of the
Director of the Service, Mian Muhammad Jehangir,
to the center. |

Police, agencies
behind creation of Taliban:Mazari
Rojhan—Former Caretaker Prime Minister Mir
Balakh Sher Mazari on Tuesday blamed local
police and secret agencies for their alleged
involvement for creation of local Taliban in the
far-flung areas of Rajanpur district. Talking to
a delegation of the local journalists, Mir
Balakh Sher Mazari asked the law enforcement
agencies to tell the people where the seized
weapons were dumped and criminals were kept in
prisons arrested in the past. |

Plan to make jail
inmates useful citizen
Mirpur—AJK Jail inmates will be imparted
technical training in difference disciplines to
make them useful citizen after completion of
their stipulated terms behind the bars, official
sources said. Unveiling the plan inked by the
AJK government, the sources told APP here that
under a broad-based project, prisoners in AJK
were being given training in computer education,
electricity, welding, carpet manufacturing,
tailoring and other technical fields. |

collaboration of police has finalized foolproof
security arrangements in twin cities of Taxila
and Wah Cantt to maintain peace on the occasion
of Eid-ul-Fitr. The sources said that the

Public asked to
register names of missing children
Peshawar—A meeting of NWFP Police Child and
Women Protection Committee (PCWPC) was held with
Director Research and Development Fasih-ud Din
who is also the chairman of committee in the
chair. The meeting expressed satisfaction over
the shifting of PCWPC Center from Gulberg Police
Station to Warsak Road. The meeting discussed
the orientation of the newly established center
in detail. |
