Governor, CM visit
Quaid’s Mazar
Rich homage paid to Father of Pak Nation
Karachi—Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan
and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, along
with Cabinet Ministers and Advisors paid a visit
to the mausoelum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali
Jinnah to pay homage to the founder of Pakistan
on his 61st anniversary. Both Governor and Chief
Minister laid wreaths at the Quaid’s Mazar and
offered fateha. Earlier when Governor reached
the Quaid’s Mazar he was received by Chief
Minister and his cabinet members. On the

City nazim vows to
curb corruption 400 ghost emplyees fired
Amanullah Khan
Karachi—It is for the first time that an iron
hand campaign against corruption has been
carried out by the city government under which
so far 400 ghost employees purged by the City
government. According to City Nazim Syed Mustafa
Kamal action against ghost employees in city
government will continue to weed out corruption.
So far 350 ghost employees have been sacked on
the ground of absconding from their duties.

Govt to complete
term: Mardan
Karachi—Sindh Population Welfare Minister
Syed Ali Mardan Shah has said that PPP is united
under the dynamic leadership of President Asif
Ali Zardari and no conspiracy can stall our
determination to make the country prosperous. He
was talking to delegations of notables of
Umerkot who met him at his office on Friday. The
Minister said that ever since PPP assumed power,
some elements are busy to harm the government
but they should know that masses are with us who
will foil these conspiracies and it will
complete its 5 years tenure. |

Healthcare top
priority: Minister Karachi—Sindh Minister
for Health, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, has said that the
Health Department was attaching top priority to
providing best health care facilities to the
rural and urban masses without any
discrimination and emphasis is being laid on
completion of development projects at an
accelerated pace. This he said while presiding
over a meeting to review development projects at
his office here on Thursday. Secretary Health
Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi and Special Secretary
(PH), Dr. (Capt.) Abdul Majid, were also present
on the occasion. |

Stern warning to
profiteers Karachi—Provincial Auqaf
Minister Abdul Haseeb has warned that profiteers
and hoarders would not be spared in any way. He
stated this during price check of items of daily
use in areas of Bismillah hotel, Pak Colony,
Nazimabad, Paposh Nagar, Chandni chowk and other
markets and bazars in SITE, North Nazimabad and
Liaquat Towns Towns. Talking to people Abdul
Haseeb said that Ministers and Advisors are
checking prices in markets on the directive of
Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to provide
relief to people during the holy month. |
