Muslim envoys
participate in Quaid’s death anniversary event

Islamabad—A number of Ambassadors of the Muslim
countries yesterday participated in the Quran
Khawani which was arranged by Nazriya Pakistan
Council, Islamabad, to pay homage to the
departed soul of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali
Jinnah on his 61st death anniversary. The Muslim
envoys who participated were H.E. Dr. Ahmed
Benflis, Ambassador of Republic of Algeria, H.E.
Mr. Mohamed Said Mohamed Al-Lawati, Ambassador
of Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Mr. Hazem Hussein Abu
Shanab, Ambassador of State of Palestine, H.E.
Mr. Mohammed Omer Mosa, Ambassador of Republic
of Sudan, H.E. Mr. Mourad Bourehla, Ambassador

Heroin smuggling
case
SC directs ANF to arrest actual culprits
Islamabad—The Supreme Court on Friday directed
DG Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to initiate an
inquiry into heroin smuggling case and arrest
the genuine accused (big fish) of the case. A
three-member bench of the apex court headed by
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and
comprising Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice
Jawwad S Khwaja ordered this while hearing a
bail appeal of accused Mohammad Anis in a heroin
smuggling case. The accused Mohammad Anis was

Like-minded group struggle to reunite

Islamabad—The top Pakistan Muslim League-Q
leaders, who are now acting on the policy of
“Let us see which way the wind blows” before
joining any other political party, believe that
if both the group of PML-Q (Chaudhrys of Gujrat
and Splinters under Hamid Nasir Chattha) are not
reunited then the party is bound to disperse.
The well known League figures, who enjoyed
ministerial slots as well as parliamentarians in

Drive to ensure
quality food Islamabad—Deputy Commissioner
Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed has ordered Assistant
Director Food Islamabad Muhammad Afzal to carry
out the sampling of food items on daily basis in
order to ensure the quality of food items.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad issued these
orders during a meeting of price control
committee held here on Friday and attended by
the magistrates and members of the committee. He
also reviewed the progress of on-going
anti-profiteering drive and directed the

takes off from 30th Muhammad Arshad
Islamabad—Meeting of Central Organizing
Committee (COC) and Provincial Organizing
Committees (POC) of PMLN shalll be chaired by
party’s leader Mr. Nawaz Sharif on 30th
September to announce further details of PMLN
membership and re-organization campaign, which
