Clijsters stuns
Venus, Serena awaits at US Open New
York—Comeback queen Kim Clijsters split the
Williams sisters on Sunday when she sent Venus
reelling out of the US Open. The 26-year-old
Belgian, who has been the talk of the tournament
as she continues her return from two and a half
years out of the game to marry and have a baby,
won a roller-coaster of a match 6-0, 0-6, 6-4.
She will play China’s Li Na in the last eight
with a possible tilt at defending champion and

PCB chairman not
enjoying perks, privileges
Lahore—Pakistan Cricket Board said on Monday
that its Chairman Ijaz Butt was not enjoying all
the perks and privileges he is entitled to and
he is availing only a few necessary facilities
to perform his official duties. Ijaz Butt unlike
other previous Chairman is not availing the
lucrative facilities and privileges and he is
only availing mobile telephone which he uses for
PCB business, his international air travel,
hotel accommodation and Daily Allowance for
international visits only when on PCB official
