Trees chopping mars Balochistan’s environs

Quetta—Influential persons have been continuing chopping down trees along roads and from official forests without any permission by the government while such activity is badly damaging environment of Balochistan. APP learnt on Monday that highways and roads running throughout Balochistan and official forests have deprived of most of their trees which had been existing for last 40 to 60 years as influential persons have chopped thousands of such trees and minted huge money by selling them. President wants speedy uplift in Gilgit-Baltistan: Mehdi

Skardu—President of Pakistan and Co- Chairperson of PPP Asif Ali Zardari, has given instructions to the concerned quarters to prepare a comprehensive plan to accelerate developmental activities in Gilgit-Baltistan. SDA demands action against sugar crisis creators

Peshawar—President Sugar Dealers Association (SDA) has demanded of the government to take action against the Sugar Mills Association (SMA) for creating artificial sugar crisis for their own benefits. “The mills owners have deliberately hoarded sugar aimed to mint more and more money,” accused Shakirullah, the president of the SDA during a news conference at press club on Monday.  The masses of NWFP are facing sugar crisis, which was artificially created by the mills owners to hoard the product and then sell it at their own prices.
