Karachi—Although the authorities as well as the
people were forewarned regarding heavy downpour
in Karachi yet the natural pheneomenon flooded
Karachi with knee standing deluge even on main
Shahrah faisal this evening. The first victim of
the rain was the electricity supply which as
usual disappeared soon after the rain started
for many hours in many parts of the city, the
road communication was badly disrupted due to
heavy rains making it impossible to move in the
face of standing rain waters on the roads. |

Dow Med University
refutes slash in seats Karachi—Dow
University of Health Sciences (DUHS) authorities
have refuted the impression that number of MBBS
seats offered, on reciprocal basis or otherwise,
to candidates with domicile other than Karachi,
may have been slashed. DUHS sources told APP
that under a settled arrangement candidates
nominated by different public sector medical
colleges/universities of the province are
accommodated every year in the MBBS program at
DUHS and so are a total of 30 nominees of DUHS
at these instituion on reciprocal basis. |
