Karachi—Pakistan Railway Karachi Division is carrying out rehabilitation of all the railway stations which were burnt as backlash to the assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi. These station buildings were burnt/damaged during riots of December 27-28, 2007 on Karachi-Kotri, Kotri-Dadu, Hyderabad- Tandoadam, Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad-Badin Sections. In all 24 station buildings in Karachi Railway Division were burnt or badly damaged along with vital railway installations.

Karachi—Pakistan Navy Ship Khaibar departed Sunday for participation in Anti Piracy Operations in the Gulf of Aden as part of Task Force - 151.
