Repair of roads,
streets in Manzoor Colony
Karachi—City Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa
Kamal, has said that the repair work of roads
and streets in Manzoor Colony would be carried
out after the laying of water and sewerage
system with a cost of Rs. 540 million and within
an year all streets of this area would be of
concrete. He expressed these views after
inaugurating a maternity home and family park in
Manzoor Colony on Saturday. The City Government

Railways to rehabilitate damaged stock
Karachi—Pakistan Railway Karachi Division is
carrying out rehabilitation of all the railway
stations which were burnt as backlash to the
assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto
at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi. These station
buildings were burnt/damaged during riots of
December 27-28, 2007 on Karachi-Kotri,
Kotri-Dadu, Hyderabad- Tandoadam, Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas
and Hyderabad-Badin Sections. In all 24 station
buildings in Karachi Railway Division were burnt
or badly damaged along with vital railway

Pak Navy to
participate in anti-piracy operations
Karachi—Pakistan Navy Ship Khaibar departed
Sunday for participation in Anti Piracy
Operations in the Gulf of Aden as part of Task
Force - 151. An ISPR (Navy) statement here said
that it is the second Pakistan Navy Ship
deployed with TF-151 which will cover a distance
of 1,300 Nautical Miles till Horn of Africa and
the area of deployment. It said that the Task
Force 151 is an international maritime coalition

All efforts to
solve problems Karachi—Advisor to Chief
Minister, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, said that present
government is making all out effors to solve the
problems of people and for this purpose the
complaint cell at CM House is an effective mean
aiming at providing maximum relief to masses.
Talking to newsmen at the CM House complaint
cell, Imtiaz Shaikh said that Chief Minister is
specially focussing on problems faced by people
and Sindh Government will take strict action
against functionaries showing negligience
towards redresal of complaints received at the
