Security plan for
Ramazan finalised
Karachi—On the directive of Sindh Home
Minister Dr. Zulfikar Ali Mirza, a security plan
was given final shape for ensuring effective
control on law and order situation throughout
Sindh and particularly during Ramazan- ul-
Mubarak.Under the security plan, over 12,000
security officials and personnel will be
performing special duties during the Holy month
while installation of security cameras at major
congregations of Taravih will be ensured. |

Govt wants reforms
in police system: Minister Karachi—Sindh

the government wants reforms in the police
system and amendments in Police Order 2002
likewise the amendments in present local
government system in order to improve the

411 sailors passed
out
Karachi—The passing out parade of Pakistan
Navy New Entry Sailors batch comprising 411 men
was held at PNS HIMALAYA, Manora this morning.
Rear Admiral Tehseen Ullah Khan, Director
General Matitime Security Agency, graced the
occasion as chief guest.Addressing the ceremony
the chief guest said that for a country like
Pakistan, peace and stability is imperative for
sustainable growth and prosperity. “It is,
therefore, important for us to maintain credible
defence capability so that no one can challenge
our security”, he added. |

91,800 admissions
Karachi—As many as 91,830 forms have been
sold for admission to first year classes in the
colleges in Karachi so far.This was announced by
the Director General Colleges, Prof. Dr. Rafiq
Ahmed Siddiqui, here on Friday. He said that
these forms were obtained from the 50 designated
branches of the Bank Al-Habib in the metropolis.
Prof. Siddiqui said that out of these, 67,000
forms have been submitted at the CAP centres. |
