would be held on schedule in November.Addressing
a press conference Syed Aqil Shah, who is also
Patron of the Games said that the opening
ceremony of the games would be held on November

No rift in team,
says PCB Chief
Lahore—Chairman PCB, Ijaz Butt has denied any
rift or grouping in the team in the back drop of
team’s debacle in the tour of Sri Lanka in test
and one day series.I can say with absolute
confidence that there was total harmony in the
team. They were united and played as a unit”, he
said here on Tuesday.PCB Chief has one-on-one
meetings last week with the members of Pakistan
team and its management in Karachi. The meetings
were held with a view to substantiate the

PPF women football
coaching course concludes
Lahore—The first ever PFF D-Certificate women
football coaching course concluded here on
Tuesday and twenty four participants were
awarded certificates at FIFA Football
House.Speaking on the occasion, Secretary,
Pakistan Football Federation, Ahmad Yar Lodhi
said four key elements, coaching, competitions,
talent hunt and selection on merit are very
important in the field of football. “ I assure
the coaches, players, referees, organizers of
the game that PFF is well on the way for the
improvement of the overall game structure of the
game and the necessity of coaches is very
important chapter in this game of masses”, he

Sub-committee of
University Sports Board meets at HEC
Islamabad—The 43rd meeting of the Standing
Sub-Committee of Pakistan University Sports
Board (PUSB) was held under the auspices of
Higher Education Commission (HEC) at its
Secretariat on Tuesday.Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Acting
Executive Director, HEC was chief guest in the
inaugural ceremony. Dr. Altaf Shaikh, member
(Academics) HEC presided over the meeting.The
ceremony was attended by Directors of Sports and
Physical Education of public and private
