Fire engulfs paint factory

Islamabad—A paint making factory located in sector I-10/2 on Sunday caught fire suddenly, reducing valuables of 12.5 million rupees to ashes but no casualty was reported.

USC reviews prices

Islamabad—The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has increased the prices of seven items while reducing the rate of one item at its outlets. “We have increased the prices of seven items at our outlets as we were also purchasing these item on higher rates”, a Spokesman of USC told APP here today.

Rawalpindi—The surge in prices of Atta in the Open Market triggered strong protest by masses as flour mills increased prices of 20 kg bag upto Rs. 515 from Rs. 500 while in merchant shops, Atta is being sold from Rs. 520 to Rs. 525.

420 VIPs fined for violating traffic rules

Islamabad—Remaining steadfast to the basic objectives defined at the time of inception of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) in January 2006, its personnel ensured equal implementation of law and did not spare even the VIPs, ministers and police officials on traffic violations. ITP personnel who proved their firmness to the basic vision by remaining polite and courteous, issued thousands of tickets on traffic violation to the VIPs during the last three years.
