20 militants dead in Malakand, Waziristan operations

Peshawar—As the operation Rah-e-Rast and Rah-e-Najaat continued in
Malakand and Waziristan agencies, the security forces killed another
twenty insurgents on Friday. More than a dozen others were wounded.
Reports reaching here from Miran Shah North Waziristan agency say
the PAF jets and the gunship copters, struck hard on the alleged
militants hideouts in bordering areas of NWA inflicting losses on
the trouble makers.
Sources say seven people were killed and 15 others sustained
injuries when the security forces warplanes went for incessant
bombings in bordering areas Wacha Bibi and Degan of North
Waziristan. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said some 13
terrorists including Commander Naeem Ullah were killed and a soldier
sustained wounds during the last twenty four hours. 24 were
apprehended along with large quantities of arms, ammunition and
equipment from Swat and Dir.
According to ISP update the Security forces conducted search
operation near Shah Daheri, area which resulted in clash between the
forces and the militants. During exchange of fire with terrorists,
10 were killed and 20 terrorists were injured. The house of
terrorist Shamso was destroyed. Security forces recovered 2 IEDs, 3
misfired rounds of 81 mortars, 10 liter acid, 1 rifle and an under
ground tunnel.
During search operation at Gokdara and Tandodag areas, 2 terrorists
were killed in exchange of fire. 2 SMGs and cache of arms and
ammunitions were recovered.
Security forces conducted house to house search operation at Kabal
and Akun Kalle and recovered 3 rifles, 2 pistols, 1 communication
set and 30 mobile phone SIMs and ammunition of various calibers.
During search operation at Zara Khella, security forces recovered 16
rifles, 2 IEDs, 2 pistols and safety fuses/detonators and
ammunitions of various calibers. Security forces conducted search
operation in areas around Rangeela and Dadhra. 1 soldier was injured
while defusing IED.
Security forces carried out search operation at terrorists hide outs
at Nawakilli and Mingora and recovered 3 single cabins, 10
propaganda cassettes, 1 tape recorder, 1 radio, 200 sand bags,
stamps and letter pads of TTP and computer accessories.
