Islamabad—While use of technology in South Asian
(SA) countries brought silent revolution in
their economies and societies, the lack of an
educated and skilled population as well as
inadequate infrastructure, particularly in rural
areas, is hampering South Asia to exploit the
full potential of technology. The limited
adoption and diffusion of technology has to be
addressed seriously to enhance productivity of
the economy, to improve human development
through adequate public service delivery and
overall governance in South Asia–the region that
remains the most populous, malnourished, and
poorly-governed in the world.

situated in their local areas do not have any
sort of reserved place for women to take part in
the congregational prayers, while 12% claimed
their local mosques do, a survey have said.
