Workshop on media’s role in agri development from 6th

Islamabad—The SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC) would organize a three-day long workshop here from July 6 (Monday) to highlight the role of media in agriculture development and devise strategies for exposing farmers to modern information and techniques for better agriculture output. The workshop titled “Role of Media for Accelerating Agri- growth in SAARC Countries,” is being held in collaboration with National Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (NAPHIS).

Poverty in rural areas runs above 55pc

Karachi —Hussain Tejani, President & CEO, has said that the focus of the First Microfinance Bank Limited was to alleviate poverty by encouraging low income entrepreneurs. Speaking at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry he said that the FMFB endeavoring to reach out to the deprived low income entrepreneurs who were unable to receive adequate financial services through out the country in the rural as well as urban areas.
