Islamabad—A UN commission appointed to
investigate the assassination of Pakistan’s
former prime minister Benazir Bhutto began work
Wednesday, despite scepticism that the probe
will lead to convictions.
Washington—Brushing aside Indian concerns on
American assistance for Pakistan, the United
States has said the Indians should not worry
about Washington’s support for Islamabad and
rather back the effort to ratchet up its
neighbor’s ability to overcome economic and
militancy challenges.
Dubai—Al-Qaeda’s North Africa wing threatened on
Tuesday to take revenge on France for its
opposition to the burka, calling on Muslims to

purchase assets in China and India owned by the
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) while MCB & JSCL
are in the run for acquiring Pakistan operations
of RBS informed sources said today.
Rawalpindi—Security forces taking part in
operation Rah-e-Rast killed 5 terrorists in
Bannu and three were apprehended from Swat and
Dir during the last 24 hours while one soldier
embraced shahadat and 12 soldiers including an
Officer were injured. In Dir, a number of
terrorists were killed or injured by the local
Lashkar while clearing Shatkas village.
