A BRITISH study shows that an average pillow is home to a host of potentially-harmful fungi, which may cuase asthma.

Monsoon to start during first week of July

Lahore—Monsoon rains are likely to start in different parts of Punjab, NWFP and Kashmir during the first week of July with easterly system to enter the country during next 24 hours. Chief Meteorologist Hazrat Mir talking to APP here on Monday, said “Though any rain yielding system is not in the region yet monsoon airs would start reaching upper NWFP during next 24 hours.”

Mangla to start Power supply soon

Lahore—Mangla Power House supplying 1100 MW to the power system was taken off bar during last night due to faults in the control and power cables, some of which had also caught fire. According to Wapda spokesman, Inspection of the Power House revealed that all 10 generating units are safe and would be supplying power soon after the damaged control and power cables are replaced.

MR passport must for Hajj

Lahore—No one can fly to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan to perform Hajj without new Machine Readable Passports and the Hajj applications from Pakistani muslims under Government Scheme must submit to the banks till July 11. This was stated by Director Hajj Lahore, Farogh Aftab Zaidi while talking to APP here Monday. He said the old procedure of issuing Hajj Passports by Religious Ministry has been abolished from this year.
