Lahore—Monsoon rains are likely to start in
different parts of Punjab, NWFP and Kashmir
during the first week of July with easterly
system to enter the country during next 24
hours. Chief Meteorologist Hazrat Mir talking to
APP here on Monday, said “Though any rain
yielding system is not in the region yet monsoon
airs would start reaching upper NWFP during next
24 hours.”
Lahore—Mangla Power House supplying 1100 MW to
the power system was taken off bar during last
night due to faults in the control and power
cables, some of which had also caught fire.
According to Wapda spokesman, Inspection of the
Power House revealed that all 10 generating
units are safe and would be supplying power soon
after the damaged control and power cables are
replaced.
Lahore—No one can fly to Saudi Arabia from

stated by Director Hajj Lahore, Farogh Aftab
