Summer lowers cholesterol levels

WARM weather and more activity help add volume to blood, the reason why blood cholesterol levels peak during autumn and winter but decline in spring and summer. Researchers form the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester conducted a study on 517 healthy men and women who were tracked quarterly over a year on their diet, physical activity, exposure to light, general behaviour and cholesterol, Health News reported.

Family of Jinnah visits Bait-ul-Mal

Islamabad—The family of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah visited Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal to inaugurate the new office of the organization’s Chairman Zamurd Khan here today. Mrs Aslam Jinnah, along with daughter Zainab, met Chairman Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Aslam Jinnah, while talking to APP, said that the credit for his visit to Islamabad goes to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.

Delay in shifting of feeders at Zero Point Interchange

Islamabad—Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has asked the contractor of Zero Point Interchange to submit demand notice of around Rs 89 million regarding shifting of 12 feeders from project site through Capital Development Authority (CDA)). According to official sources, CDA’s officials agreed to submit the amount of demand notice at once so that IESCO could complete the replacement of transmission lines from the site.
