International Drugs Day
ANF burns 38 tons narcotics

Rawalpindi—Pakistan is facing multiple problems, which make the task of Anti Narcotic Force (ANF) extremely difficult and complex to control drug addiction across the country said this by Director General ANF, Major General Khalid Amir Jaffery here on Friday. While commemorating the ‘International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’— a Drug Burning Ceremony held under the auspicious of ANF he said, “We are located in the neighborhood of Afghanistan, which is the major source of transfer of narcotics in the region”. “In fact Afghanistan is producing 95% of world illicit opium, a significant portion of which passes through Pakistan, making it a transit as well as victim country,” he explained.

President direction to finance technical centres
