ISLAMABAD is fast emerging to be counted among
the most modern and lively Capitals of the
world. During the past some years the whole
profile of the city has undergone a striking
change. The city’s road-network has been
reshaped, new foot-paths, children parks, play
grounds, walking tracks, and stadia now
conspicuously dot Islamabad’s expanse. Smart
covered bus-stops add to general look of the
city-roads. Anyone who visits Islamabad after
being away for a couple of years is Awe-struck
and shakes head in disbelief. Is this possible
in a country which has been afflicted by lack of
vision, lack of direction and even lack of
common-sense? All that happened when Mr. Kamran
Lashari was Chairman CDA.
