Islamabad—President Asif Ali Zardari Thursday
urged the United States to provide drones
technology to Pakistan for boosting its
indigenous capacity to eliminate militants from
its soil.
Islamabad—Security forces apprehended 3
terrorists and also recovered arms and
ammunitions, while 4 soldiers were injured in
Malakand and Dir during last 24 hours, Inter
Service Public Relations (ISPR) said in a
statement on Thursday.
Washington—President Bar-ack Obama signed into
law a huge $ 106 billion war supplemental bill
on Wednesday, making available $ 1.4 billion in
economic and security aid for Pakistan as the
country grapples simultaneously with economic
and militancy challenges in the high-stakes
region for U.S. interests.

visit to South Waziristan Agency to spend time
with field commanders and troops deployed in the
area.
There seems to be a freshness among the military
leaders. The region is witnessing some rapid
changes in military scenarios. New strategies
are now in place in South Asia, Gulf region and
the Middle East, which seek to isolate Pakistan
and merely link it with Afghanistan. Apparently,
the Obama administration is on its way of
causing huge explosion in the region. And
undoubtedly, relying extensively on military
power to achieve foreign policy objective is
going to affect every nation in this globe.
Nobody, expected such a “change” from President
Barak Obama.
Tehran—Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
told US President Barack Obama on Thursday to
stop meddling in Iran’s affairs and blasted
Britain and some other European nations, saying
they were run by ‘politically retarded people,’
the Fars news agency reported.‘I hope you
(Obama) will avoid interfering in Iran’s affairs
and express regret in a way that the Iranian
people are informed of it,’ Ahmadinejad was
quoted as saying.
