Drones kill 50 more in SWA

Peshawar—While the security forces were tightening noose around TTP chief Baitullah Mehsud and his accomplices during the ongoing operation Rah-e-Najat in the South Waziristan Agency, the notorious American drones struck at a remote village of the Ladha sub division SWA Tuesday killing fifty people as reported by some sources. On the other hand Qari Zainuddin, who recently defected to government along with his some thousand comrades against Baitullah, was gunned down in D I Khan Tuesday morning.

Islamabad—The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has taken suo motu notice of reports appearing in various sections of print media about the proposed increase in rates of electricity despite decrease in oil prices in international market and directed to put up this case in the court on 6th July. and to issue notices to Chairman WAPDA, NEPRA and all the companies demanding higher rates.
