Peshawar/Rawalpindi—The security forces and the insurgents remained engaged in pitched battle in volatile Malakand Agency on Tuesday with the Army declaring to have gunned down 16 more militants during the last 24 hours. The insurgents on the other hand claimed to have inflicted heavy losses on the security forces saying they had killed more than 10 men in uniform. The army officials admitted the Shahadat of one major and four Jawans besides injuries to 16 other soldiers.
